PRICING GUIDE FOR SHRUB TRIMMING

Pricing on trimming services has a lot to do with how much growth we need to trim off and what type of shrub we are trimming. Shrubs like boxwood hedges and nandina are fairly easy to trim with a hedge trimmer. Shrubs or trees like roses/ Japanese maples require a little bit more finesse to get them looking good. These shrubs oftentimes need to be trimmed with hand shears. 

Another thing to consider is the time it will take to clean up the clippings. Shrubs like boxwoods leave a lot of little clippings in the beds that will have to be cleaned up afterward. If we are re-mulching the bed, our crew will clean up the trimmings as best as possible and mulch over the remaining clippings leaving your flowerbed fresh and clean looking. 

The last point we want to make before moving on is the pricing below if we are ONLY performing the trimming service without any other additional services included. It is always more cost-effective to bundle multiple services together. Drive time and getting set up is where the majority of our cost as a landscape company comes from. 

Let’s assume this property is in South OKC or Moore. As you can see, these shrubs are quite overgrown and will need extra time to be shaped up. For the majority of these nandina and boxwood shrubs, we will go ahead and use a hedge trimmer to shape them individually or into a hedge. 

For this project, the homeowner would be looking at roughly $95 to trim all of these shrubs (there are a few more on the east side of the house). Since we are not installing any mulch on this particular property, there will be a few small clippings left in the mulch after we leave. One thing to note is the shrubs are all the same on this property, which makes it quicker and easier to trim. When shrubs are of different sizes, shapes, and types, we have to adjust our pruning to fit the specific plant. 

Most trimming jobs land anywhere from $95-195 for standard-sized (2-6ft) shrubs. If we are trimming anything over 6ft, pricing will range upwards of $200-300 depending on the size of the plant and the amount you need to be trimmed.
